It’s all about men!

So, let’s take some time for a closer look at half of our population. Yes, our men. Despite the fact they drive us crazy half the time, let’s face it, we want to keep them around for the long haul!

Our men are amazing in all their sizes, shapes and ages, and although you may occasionally hear a woman say that men are simple in their nature, there’s definitely a level of complexity in both their mental and physical state.

Unfortunately, with most of our men folk though their health isn’t as good as it could be and like so many aspects of their existence it’s up to us women to look after them!

There are so many variables involved with men’s health including environmental factors such as the way society says men should act and of course basic biological functions. When you look at the statistics, men die at much early age rates and consult health care professionals less often than women. Unfortunately, men usually smoke more than women, struggle with their weight and have increased alcohol consumption [1]

When we look at men’s health there is a myriad of issues affecting our men which unfortunately tends to impact their wives, partners, children, friends and work colleagues.

Men and their nutrition…

It’s really important to remember that men have different nutritional requirements to woman, so it is important to tailor products for men.

  • Men usually need less dietary iron than women, so iron free multivitamins with zinc are important.
  • Micronutrient deficiencies (zinc, magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin E and D) are also on the rise with our male friends.

Men & their prostate…
