My story…….
I considered myself to be a healthy “woman of substance”. That’s what I had to believe!
My endearing nickname was “Super Cow”, as I was also strong.
From the age of 12, I wasn’t obese or even grossly overweight, but I felt I had to start watching my weight. There was that subliminal fat-conscious bullying that happens as with most in their teenage years; oh….. another name for me was “Womble”.
In my fourth year of high school, I even tried to starve myself. I managed 2 weeks and failed that! (Thank goodness). So, my entry into womanhood was fraught with fears of the scale and the clothes tag never breaching a size 10! (or 34”) together with relentless exercise.
I married a wonderful man, and had two beautiful children, but felt so empty that I wasn’t “enough” for them for many years. These insidious destructive thoughts were destroying my joy.
I was fortunate a friend of mine introduced me to LTLA, the rest, you could say is history!
I’ve learnt so much about food, what works for my body and how simple, clean food and nutrition makes me feel. Now I just love to share that knowledge to help others.
Not only did I turn my health around, I also found my passion & purpose, which has led me to become a LTLA Trained Mentor. I now teach others how to quickly & safely lose weight, regain their health and live happier, more fulfilled lives.
