A few years ago, all I could see was a future filled with ailing health as I grew older. Why? I was grossly overweight, I had no energy, no motivation and I wondered how I was ever going to be able to enjoy my own life after 60. 

I desperately wanted to change, but I just didn’t know where to start or even if I had the right mental attitude to make the necessary changes in my life. 

I’d tried different things on and off over the years, but I lacked the motivation and resilience to keep going.  I wanted someone to wave a magic wand to make everything ok.  I made so many excuses – too hard, no time, too much work to do, and my favourite, ‘I’ll think about it another day’.

I saw a photo of an old friend who looked amazing.  I reached out to her.  My friend became my LTLA Mentor: my strength on the days I needed it; my encourager on the days I simply wanted to throw in the towel; my cheer squad when I reached my goals; and my motivation to want to find a fitter, healthier me, buried under years of not taking time for me.

I transformed my life however more importantly, I’m happier, healthier and back in control of my life!

I’ve learnt so much about food, what works for my body and how simple, clean food and nutrition makes me feel.  Now I just love to share that knowledge to help others.

Not only did I turn my health around, I also found my passion & purpose, which has led me to become a LTLA Trained Mentor. I now teach others how to quickly & safely lose weight, regain their health and live happier, more fulfilled lives.
